Safe Operation & Maintenance Guidelines for ZRI Solar Deep-Well Pumps

At present，with the widespread application of solar deep-well pumps in agricultural irrigation and mountainous area water supply, their safe operation and standardized maintenance have become increasingly important. So we extend equipment lifespan and ensure operational safety, ZRI has formulated the following technical key points for installation、usage and maintenance.

Before installation, users strictly verify well conditions to ensure the well depth and diameter match the pump model. The pump body must be submerged at least 3 meters below the water surface and kept away from the silt layer at the bottom of the well, the water quality should be clean with a sand content below 0.01% and a pH value between 6.5 and 8.5, while the verticality deviation of the well pipe should be controlled within 20 centimeters. In alpine regions, anti-freezing measures are required, such as burying pipelines below the permafrost layer or installing pressure relief devices.   

During operation, it is important about dry running without water is strictly prohibited. Before the first startup or after long-term inactivity, users need confirm sufficient water volume in the well. Cut off power promptly for protection during thunderstorms; all cable joints must be waterproofed. Ensure the electrical parameters of solar panels, controllers, and pumps are matched, and reverse polarity connection is strictly forbidden.

In case of abnormal noise or vibration, userss need immediately cut off power and contact professional maintenance personnel—don‘t disassemble key components without authorization. About long-term idleness, userss drain the water inside the pump and power it on regularly to delay component aging.

To eliminate potential safety hazards, don't start the pump directly by bypassing the controller, use the equipment in sewage or seawater, or operate it when solar panels are damaged or wires are exposed. Meanwhile, avoid hitting the pump body or pulling cables.
